VIDEO:
Startup.com (Chris Hegedus & Jehane Noujaim, 2001) [7-]
Greed (Erich von Stroheim, 1924) [9]
Dagon (Stuart Gordon, 2001) [7]
Edmond (Stuart Gordon, 2005) [6.5]
Stuck (Stuart Gordon, 2007) [7.5] [minimal plot, tons of black humor, strong social commentary without being cumbersome, violence breaking out in unexpected moments and ways… I find “Stuck” one of the two best movies ever made by Gordon (the other one being, of course, Re-Animator), which, being also his most recent one, makes it even more absurd and sad that no one’s asking him to work anymore]
The Mosquito Coast (Peter Weir, 1986) [7+]
Fearless (Peter Weir, 1993) [7]
The Screwfly Solution (Joe Dante, 2006) [Masters of Horror] [7]
Faust: Love of the Damned (Brian Yuzna, 2000) [5]
Survival of the Dead (George A. Romero, 2009) [5]
Evil Dead (Fede Alvarez, 2013) [4]
The Big Chill (Lawrence Kasdan, 1983) [7]
Pacific Rim (Guillermo del Toro, 2013) [7]
Pain & Gain (Michael Bay, 2013) [6.5]
Flight of the Intruder (John Milius, 1991) [7]
The Right Stuff (Philip Kaufman, 1983) [8]
Game of Thrones s1, ep1 (Timothy Van Patten, 2011) [7.5]
Game of Thrones s1, ep2 (Timothy Van Patten, 2011) [7+]
Game of Thrones s1, ep3 (Brian Kirk, 2011) [7]
Game of Thrones s1, ep4 (Brian Kirk, 2011) [7]
Game of Thrones s1, ep5 (Brian Kirk, 2011) [7.5+]
Game of Thrones s1, ep6 (Daniel Minahan, 2011) [7.5]
Game of Thrones s1, ep7 (Daniel Minahan, 2011) [7.5]
Game of Thrones s1, ep8 (Daniel Minahan, 2011) [7.5]
Game of Thrones s1, ep9 (Alan Taylor, 2011) [7.5+]
Game of Thrones s1, ep10 (Alan Taylor, 2011) [7.5+]

BOOKS:
Wuthering Heights (Emily Brontë, 1847) [7] [I frankly don’t see the “masterpiece” status in it]
The Millionaire Fastlane (M.J. DeMarco, 2011) [7.5]
Rich Dad, Poor Dad (Robert T. Kiyosaki & Sharon L. Lechter, 1997) [6.5] [while it can work for newbies as a starting point in financial literacy, it also conveys bizarre suggestions/informations, and it’s flattened by an overall lack of substance]
Qu’est-ce que le cinéma? (André Bazin, 1958-1962) [9] [brilliant and entertaining collection of essays on cinema; Bazin was definitely the greatest film critic of his lifetime]
